Bishop Consulting Pty Ltd is a newly formed Executive based Recruitment Consultancy founded by Lisa Bishop in the effort to provide superior quality end to end recruitment services predominantly within the sales and management, resources, mining, engineering, manufacturing and construction sectors.
Lisa has held senior management positions over the past ten years within various sectors including Finance, IT & T and Executive Recruitment both globally and locally.
Having nine plus years recruitment experience in Brisbane and successfully recruiting across Australia, Lisa is currently one of the leading Sales and Management recruiters in Queensland. Commencing her career in the Legal and Business Support area recruiting across the commercial space for three years she then moved into the Sales, Operations and Management area in 2005 with her major focus being in the Industrial, Mining and Construction products sector.
Throughout her career Lisa has held Consultant, Senior Consultant, Team Leader and Associate Director positions within Boutique, State, National and Global recruitment firms before making the move to start her own business. With extensive experience across all areas of recruitment from start up within a boutique firm to training "green" recruiters and then managing experienced recruitment teams in National businesses Lisa has the end to end business management, sales and training experience required to commence Bishop Consulting.
Prior to joining the recruitment sector, she spent four years living in London in the UK where she was the European Operations Manager for the Sony and Ericsson Mobile merger globally. This position saw her put together a Greenfield site from an empty office block to setting up the entire site including recruitment of 100 plus staff. From there she went on to a European Marketing and Events position and then on her return to Brisbane in 2002 she decided that recruitment was the industry for her after the experience she had dealing with Recruiters in London and successfully recruiting various roles internally for Sony Ericsson.
Before an assignment is started Bishop Consulting will gain a thorough understanding of your organisations strategic goals, team culture and future plans for the position and business by taking an in-depth brief, including a performance profile which will then clearly define the expectations and requirements of the role moving forward. These are usually different to and over and above the position description.
After successful short listing of the candidates that best match the position description and the top five must haves of the client. We then always meet candidates face to face (unless geographically incapable) for a structured interview to get a thorough understanding of the candidates wants and needs in their next career move, but also to conduct the performance profile which will then match the candidate to the clients requirements.
